L'Olmo

L'Olmo is a small, intimate "locanda" impeccably designed to take advantage of its idyllic, pristine setting within southern Tuscany, halfway between Rome and Florence. L'Olmo, originally built in the XVII century as a country house, has been restored to retain the ambience and style of that period but with all modern amenities.
Personally managed by the owner, it offers one apartment, five luxury suites and one room, furnished with terra-cotta floors, heavy wood-beamed ceilings, canopy beds, antiques, hand-forged iron light fixtures.
Each suite is unique and individualized in terms of design and decor. The two suites on the ground level offer their own private garden and whirlpool. Two of the suites on the second floor have a firepalce, one has a sunken living-room with an extraordinary floor-to-ceiling brick-grilled glass-covered wall overlooking wheat fields.
The apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a common living-room. The room, that has a comfortable canopy bed, offers the possibility of combining with a suite when such a situation is desired.
Particular attention has been given to all the bathrooms, each one is very big with travertine sinks and large mirrors, most of them have separate baths and showers.Each suite is equipped with satellite TV, a safety deposit box, and a fully stocked mini-bar.
Available to our guests during their visit is a warm and inviting living room with fireplace. The romantic dining room, where breakfast and dinner (upon request) are served, has a wonderful view of Pienza. A large swimming pool, with comfortable forniture, is located in our traditional Tuscan garden. In addiction, many of our guests enjoy light conversation in the protected courtyard filled with pottery and flowering plants. This is an ideal place in which to relax after a day of sightseeing where one can enjoy an aperitif and the warmth of our Tuscan evenings.
Upon request, regional foods and wines are avaiable to our guests for that romantic candlelit dinner or just a light lunch by the pool.
