Welcome to Terre di Nano, a country villa in southern Tuscany's Val d'Orcia.
Terre di Nano is a 19th century country estate surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, rolling hills and woods, which offers spacious charming accommodations in one of the most desirable areas of southern Tuscany. It is situated in the province of Siena in the peaceful heart of Val d'Orcia, a splendid area which officially became part of UNESCO patrimony in 2004.
Immersed in one of Italy's superior areas of viniculture, the vineyards of Terre di Nano border the region where Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is produced, and the estate is less than 20 minutes FROM the world-renown Brunello di Montalcino vineyards.
At 500m altitude, the estate sits on a hilltop overlooking the jewels of Tuscan medieval and renaissance architecture: Montepulciano, Pienza, and the hamlet of Monticchiello. The views spread out over the valleys of Val di Chiana, Monte Amiata and Val d'Orcia, where the historic little towns of San Quirico, Rocca, Castiglione, Bagno Vignoni, Montalcino, Montefolloncio and Buonconvento are nestled in the landscape.

Respecting the historical features of the country residence, Terre di Nano has been completely restored in a refined manner; the estate offers hospitality for up to 30 persons in the apartments and rooms of the villa, as well as in the independent adjoining houses.
The houses and apartments all have full kitchens, dining areas, and living rooms in addition to the bedrooms and bathrooms, while the three rooms available for rent consist simply of a bedroom, bathroom, and small sitting area. Complete breakfast service is included in the price of rooms, and those staying in the apartments or houses can be provided with this service for a minor additional fee. Upon request, we provide complete restaurant service for all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening aperitif), where Giorgio and Cristina are forever ready to make your stay at Terre di Nano as comfortable and pleasing as possible.
Guests find themselves in a peaceful oasis at Terre di Nano. One can relax by the pool, gazing out over the tranquil valleys of Val d'Orcia and Monte Amiata, or rest in the shade of the cypresses trees circling the fountain near our private woods.
For weddings, ceremonies, retreats, small conventions, and other special events, it is possible to rent the entire structure or part of it; we are happy to provide assistance and share our expertise in hosting such events.
While staying with us, you can take enchanting walks across the hills, among the forests of oaks and beeches, and through the evocative ?crete senesi?. The location of Terre di Nano allows for unique cultural, artistic, historical, enological and gastronomical excursions, and also visits to the well-known thermal baths in the area (Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni, and Chianciano Terme).
From our olive and grape harvests we produce a limited amount of excellent olive oil and a variety of red wines which our guests have always greatly enjoyed. We are delighted to offer wine tastings and tours on our property, and if you would like to take a bit of Terre di Nano home with you our products are available for sale onsite (international shipping available).
